Is there an easy way for me to be able to change the USD tab's background color? The tab's background color by default is blue.

You can make an action call to the Global Manager's SetTheme action and pass your own custom XAML code.

I wouldn't really call it easy, there is a good link here that will show you how to change the colour tabs using the default theme colours from CRM. This should get you started and if you follow it through you can opt to use which ever colour you like.

The approaches mentioned are good, especially the reference to blog by Lloyd as that lets you align your usd and crm themes. Another very simple approach is to apply one of the Microsoft standard themes. This might be the simplest approach but less flexible than others mentioned.
