Dear community,

breaking my head over this one for a few days now.

I received a customer question to allow for the Export To Excel functionality on a Configuration Pack.

I need the community because:

- Yes : the user has the Execute permission on P8625 Config. Package Subform. (along with the other objects in that range.)

- Yes: the user has the correct permissions on the tables in the package... but the function itself is disabled.

- NO: there is no errormessage. There is no message on Missing Permissions (that would make this question irrelevant)

I have the same question (0)

You need to add the D365 Excel export action.

You can also look at this post.

Hi, you can try to use the Record Permissions function to view the specific permissions required.

How to create or modify permissions by recording your actions

Hope this can give you some hints.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    thank you for your input.

I obviously tried that, prior to posting my question here.

Recording the Permissions returned a large set of objects, mostly contained in other Permission Sets. But id did not solve the issue. The Actions for Excel were still disabled on the P8625 Config. Package Subform page.

Even untouched, the recorded Permission Set, did not allow for the required operation.

So i did not even start trying to remove the large number of objects contained in the PS that already existed in pre)-existing sets.

    Hi Inge,

    thank you for your input.

However: the D365 Export action manages the export of data on pages and lists, has nothing to do with the functionality in Configuration packages.

I obviously checked that prior to posting this question.

I am sorry then i misunderstood your question.

Is everything working fine if you run the export from a user defined as a super user?

I should also ask if you are on BC online or BC on prem?
