Restriction of user based on location

Hi MS Community,

Is there a function to restrict certain users based on their location code?

For example, if I have two location code, California and Texas, can I restrict users from California from processing orders (purchase, transfers from, production orders, sales order) from using the Texas location code?

    Hi, you can try Security Filters features.

    But this is limited to user permissions, so if you need to limit the BC functionality, I think you may need to customize it.

    The link below provides instructions on how to handle this requirement using Acumens Starter-Pack for Business Central.
    The solution introduces user posting permissions which controls posting per user per document type with the option to limit to locations and responsibility centers and user data permissions, on the other hand, control data access per user per page.
    In addition to the links, the solution provides user roles management which defines various roles that can be assigned to users. This determines which records users can view on the role center and on the page list for posted and unposted documents.
