Currently, we can manually connect a specific email to a CRM record (such as a case or opportunity). However, we would like to automatically link all emails that belong to the same conversation thread to that same record — not just the individual email selected.
For example: if I link an email from a thread to a case, I would like all previous and future replies in that thread to be automatically connected to that case as well.
I'm not sure if this is possible using out-of-the-box features in Dynamics, or if it would require a custom solution (e.g., via Power Automate or a plugin (javascrip) using the ConversationId field in the email entity).
Please let me know if this functionality can be implemented, and what the best approach would be.
