Integration Manager - Could not create connection to data source

A user is unable to run an integration (or preview the data) from a source database. Other users are able to run this without issue. I believe the ODBC is set up correctly, but the issue persists. Is there anything else I should check besides the ODBC? The ODBC is 32 bit and I'm able to test the connection successfully.

Here's the error:

"Could not create connection to datasource"

"attempt to open connection failed"

"the connection string property has not been initialized"

Is it possible that the source is in use? What is the source? File or database Table?

Name of the ODBC - is it the same on all machines ?

There are a number of possible issues. Post more and the community will likely be better able to assist.

Hey Bill,

Yes, the ODBC is named the same on all workstations, and the source is a database, not a file.

I've also confirmed the user is able to run the integration from another machine, just not a newly installed/set up one. Other users are able to run the integration as well. It seems to be an issue with this machine, not the integration or source itself from what I can tell.

Hello JBurgess,

I would check the ODBC driver versions. If some are updated past the "TLS 1.2" point, then they must all be.

Basically if the drivers are past the version drivers in this article, then ALL of them need to be past this version:

support.microsoft.com/.../kb3135244-tls-1-2-support-for-microsoft-sql-server-e4472ef8-90a9-13c1-e4d8-44aad198cdbe
