Unable to Edit in Excel

Hello, 
 
UAT and production environments have the same BC version and user has the same permissions in both environments. However, user is able to Edit in Excel in UAT, but when trying to do the same in production, they get this error message: "ADD-IN ERROR, you don't have permission to use this add-in. Contact your system administrator to request access"
 
Any ideas why?

    Hello,
     
    in addition, newer BC versions have permission sets for EDIT IN EXCEL.
    You can try to add permission sets to users and then try to edit in excel.

    Yes, it seems to be a permission issue. Set Excel edit permissions for the user and check for differences in Add-In permissions or configurations between UAT and production. Ensure the Add-In is correctly deployed and configured in production.
