I made a mistake when setting up a new company's GL and selected the statistic ledger ID vs. the Values General Ledger. When I go back into GL Set-up, the Default Ledger ID is "greyed" out and won't let me change it to the values. Any one know were I need to go to modify the Default Ledger ID?
Hi John, the only way to change this is to use SQL to update the GLSetup.LedgerId field.
Obviously, if you've already posted transactions to the Stat ledger, those will need to be journalized to the Values ledger. If you haven't started using the new Company, then updating via SQL should resolve the problem.
