Hi,
as MS Partner we started on 01/10/2019 a Trial to a new customer which cames with "Sample Data", even selecting 'Settings / Data Management / Data Sample / Delete' when we open the main interface, shows one company (named 'Wide World Importers' created on '20/01/2017') with 02 contacts, proposals and etc.
After contact MS Support team here in Brazil, they offer an option to manually delete that company or just convert the instance from 'production' to 'sandbox', request a 'Reset' and then go back to 'production'. We used the second option.
>>> Problem fixed!
** Hey MS guys, review your procedures used to 'delete' the 'Sample Data' beacuse it´s missing something.
Hi,
I have met the similar issue, and it could be resolved by Resetting the instance.

Judy
Hi Dineth,
It looks like a problem in V9, it doesn't give option to delete sample data.
Thanks,
shahbaaz
Hi,
if you are in dev environment you could also export your solutions and then reset your database in the dynamics admin center.
Hello Dineth ,
I am not sure may be there was an issue in Sample data removal. You can try with this
Go to Admin Centers >> Dynamics 365 >> Instances, select your instance, and click on Edit. Once you’re able to edit your instance, go to the Instance Type dropdown menu and select Sandbox. Hit next and finish your edits.

Hope this helps.
Hi Aric,
Seems to be a problem with new vresion we are D365 V9. Ill contcta Ms and see.
Thanks.
Hi Dineth,
Normally you would follow this process,
Log in with the System Administrator security role or equivalent permissions in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Go to Settings > Data Management.
Click Sample Data. You’ll see a message that tells you whether the sample data is currently installed.
Click Remove Sample Data, and then click Close.
In your case this does not appear to be possible. However, if this is a new instance and you do not mind losing all of your data, then you have the option of resetting the instance.
Hi Dineth,
It is supposed to be straight forward:
docs.microsoft.com/.../add-remove-sample-data
arunpotti.wordpress.com/.../how-to-install-uninstall-sample-data-in-crm
However, I have experienced the issue that the sample data was not removed (from D365 v9).
Not sure if this has already been fixed or not, or it is still an issue, but check if the system job was successful or not.
I might be related to the status of particular records that the system does not allow removal.
Hope this helps in some way.
