I have created a sales order and added freight charges. Now I want to issue one freight order to the transporter against the freight charges so that he will be able to give an invoice for transporting items.
I want to know whether we are having the option in the standard sales and marketing module itself.

What do you mean exactly by freight order?
Do you want to 'purchase' the transportation service from a freight forwarder?
This can be achieved by creating a purchase order and ordering this service.
Have you tried doing that?

Your understanding is correct.
We can able to avail services of transport provider by using a purchase order.
But I want to know whether any other option is available to avail services of transport provider other than a Purchase order.
Eg. I want to issue orders for freight charges of 20USD to the transporter. I don't want to use the purchase order option instead want to use other options if available in D365.
