Working with Reports sent to Excel

Posted on by 10

Hi,

when I send a report to Excel and then try to work on the data in excel, I get #value error messages.

This seems to be happening because cells that look blank seem to have something in them.

If I even do "=a1" where a1 looks blank, I get #value.

I have to go to each empty cell and delete that cell to be able to work on the report.

Is there any way around this.

For example the Trial Balance will have blank in at least one of debit or credit.

So working with a trial balance in excel becomes very cumbersome.

Hi, if you choose Excel (data only), you may not have this problem, but then there is only data and no layout.
