Voucher XXXX is already used as of date XXXX

Dear All AX Experts,

I'm using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2,

I'm facing problem when posting a free text invoice, AX said that voucher XX285 is already used as of date XXXX.

But when i check to status list, there is no list and when i check to the next sequence number is 300 but everytime i post a free text invoice or create new a free text invoice and post it, the error still same that voucher XX285 is already used as of date but the next sequence number always increment (ex: from 286 to 287, 287 to 288).

Any suggestion?

Hello Chris,

Have you used a different number sequence that has the same Setup, i.e. that uses "VCINV" and then 6 digits?

As you already checked the Status form there is not much that you can do except possibly changing the next number or assigning a new number sequence to be used.

I do agree with Ludwig that another number sequence can have the same pattern. To be sure that the voucher was posted already or not, you can simply search for it in the Voucher transactions form.

Thanks for your response,

When i check, i only used that pattern for free text invoice voucher, and that voucher number XX285 already used for last voucher that has been posted, i have try to clear status list and change next voucher number to 286 but AX still get error with voucher number XX285 already used, I don't know why AX always take that XX285, any suggestions?

Can you share details of your number sequence setup?

Is it a shared number sequence that you use also in other companies?
