Solution Rollback, Managed or Unmanaged?

Hi

Quick question to everyone. I'm planning to roll out a series of solution patches to our production environment  but part of the requirements for the rollout is that there is a rollback plan in case something goes wrong.

My questions is, what is easier in terms of being able to quickly roll a change back, managed or unmanaged solutions and what are the benefits and disadvantages to both?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

    Hello Mike.

Have a look here... hope that will help you to decide your solution model:

    One tipp:

Make a backup of your database before your deploy. So if something goes wrong, you can completly restore your system.

    Kind regards,

    Managed solutions can be uninstalled.

Unmanaged solution will require manual interaction to delete all individual components.

So in this case I would go for managed.

Good explanation can be found here:
