    Hi Rex,

To use Page 9511 with Version 14.x you need to append '?Page=9511' to the end of the Business Central URL in your browser, e.g: businesscentral.dynamics.com/<your tenant id>/?Page=9511

If the problem persists then open a support ticket with Microsoft via your Solution Provider or Business Central Partner.

FYI, locking issues are easier to troubleshoot in Business Central version 16.x with its improved telemetry and where you can simply search for the “Database Locks” page in the application. See here for more information: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/telemetry-database-locks-trace

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Gerard,

First of all, many kindly thanks your reply, but i can't understand your reply.

In fact,i'am not use page 9511 in browser,my operation step is Tools > Debugger > Database locks, but it's not worked even table is locked,it's annoying.

Version 16.x look great, but we just upgrade that from NAV 5.0 to BC14.

    Hi Rex,

You're welcome. It seems that you are referring to the on-prem version of BC 14. If you have direct access to the relevant SQL Server you could check the locking by running the TSQL sp_who2 command (and check the "BlkBy" column for blocking connection IDs). Unfortunately, if the blocking process is a BC user you will not see the relevant BC user name in the "Login" field in the output from sp_who2 (just the middle tier service account name). However, if the blocker was an external process you could see that with this approach.

There is no easy way to link the TSQL blocking connection ID back to a NAV User name but you can can use the "DBCC INPUTBUFFER (<connection id>)" command to see what TSQL the blocker is running at the time of blocking problem. You can also use the TSQL "Kill" command on the blocking connection ID in SQL Server to terminate the blocking connection so the blocking BC user will get an error message and their transaction will be rolled back.

If you need any further advice about this blocking issue I would recommend opening a support ticket with Microsoft via your Solution Provider or Business Central Partner.
