Processing of an mail

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

we are trying to establish an automized ticket system.

We are listening on an email adress on which the emails from a form on our websites arrive.

Now, we want to read information out of the mail, how can we do that ?

The mail should be processed to a new ticket automatically.

Thank you, Louis

    Hi,

Create a plugin trigger on case create , then using split function in .net and update into your desire fields.

At the moment it looks like this (the pattern is always the same!):

    Name: Louis S.

    E-Mail: test@example.org

    license: LIC12345

    Issue: My computer burns

    software: some software

    hardware: computer

because i generate the Mail in PHP, i could change it to JSON/XML or something like that:

    http://json.org/example.html

    or what could be easier:

    -name- : -Louis S.-

    -E-Mail- : -test@example.org-

    and so on...

    Hi,

yes it is possible, but you have to write code for it and of course the format need to come with patterns so that code can recognize . How does your email description looks like?

But can you make sure all the senders follow the pattern?  If no , it is quite difficult for you to do that.

This works, but i need to get specific information out of the E-Mail-description and put these into the ticket fields.

I have some custom fields like customer-Email-adress, product-number and so on.

The from-mail is always the same, because we send the form with our smtp-mail.
