Creating Production Order from Assembly Order

Hi All,

I am trying to create a Production Order from a Sales order but from one of the Assembly lines on the SOR and not the Sales Order lines.

Basically I have a sales order and it has one item (H Code), this H Code is an Assembly Order of three items and one of these Items (X Code) is manufactured to order.

I want to create a Firm Planned Production Order from this X Code so production know the item is now required and to Manufacture it as it is not held in stock, this also allows a link the whole way though NAV Dynamics;

Sales Order>Sales Order Line>Assembly Order> Production Order.

I know it is possible to create a production order from the Sales Order using planning line but since the H Code item is not being manufactured it is no help, i need to somehow create teh production orde rfrom the Assembly Order on the SOR.

Any advice is appreciated,

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Problem with planning is it captures all items for that code currently on order and Sales Staff must manually enter SOR Ref for Production.

Hoping for someway to link from Ass. Order lines to Firm Planned Planned Order.
