General Ldeger Journal Transactions

I was trying to enter some Journal Transactions and the screen is too large so that I can't see the information that I've entered. I tried changing w/F4 but that didn't work either.

Putting the cursor onto the corner doesn't allow me to change the size either.  Any Suggestions

    Hi Jean,

First of all, let's see if the screen has been customized.  In the title bar of the Journal Transactions screen, is there an asterisk (*) before the before the words Journal Transactions?  If so, maybe you resized the screen and then saved that change so now the screen always shows that way.

Can you see the edge of the screen on either side?  Maybe try making the screen smaller from that side and then grabbing the screen and moving it over on your desktop.

Or perhaps you have the screen resolution too large on your computer?

If the screen is customized, you will need to remove the customizations.

Let me know what you find.

It looks like I somehow customized it. How do I change it back?

I can't see the edges of the screen so I am unable to change it that way

    Hi Jean,

Do you have the Customization Manager module?  If so, you could open the screen in Customize Mode and select the menu item to Remove All Changes to the Screen.

If you don't have the Customization Manager module, you will need to delete the changes you have made to the screen using SQL Server Management Studio.  Depending on your version of Dynamics SL, the records are stored in either the Custom2 table or the CustomVBA table in the system database.

Select *  from CUSTOMVBA where ScreenID = '0101000' and Entity = 'YYYYYY'

(where  YYYYYY = the EntityID (User ID)

If you have many rows returned for your user ID and screen ID, the Description field would display User Saved Customization or something like that.  You would then delete those rows.

Let me know what you find in the tables.
