Before I ask I need to let you that I'm a complete newbie in GP I don't even use the software. We have GP for our accounting and logistics people and we were wondering if there is a way to create an alert or workflow that would notify a manager if a user creates a non-inventory item that is over $50.

    GP has built-in Business Alerts functionality that you can use.  See this link for a quick overview of setup.  www.socius1.com/quick-tip-business-alerts.  You do kinda need to know a little bit of the table structure for GP but it should work.

    The table for non-iv items on a PO would be POP10110 and the alert formula would be something similar to POP10110_T1.NONINVEN = 1  AND POP10110_T1.UNITCOST  > 50.00.
