I have now taken several attempts to figure this out but I am stuck.
Using the entity quote and adding quote details I can not add quote line details to a quote. To my understanding, quote is 1:n -> quote line -> 1:n quote line detail. I would like to create a detailed quote with the information of how many hours, roles and at what prices are estimated. In our business this is a standard requirement. Is there a way to add the quote line detail?

Word template can only get entities with 1: N, N: 1 or N: N relationships with the current entity, but cannot get entities with 1: N: N relationship. In other words, it is impossible to get related entities across two levels relationships.
This is why we can't get quote line detail in Quote's Word template.
We can only get Quote and Quote Line Detail in Quote Line's Word template.
In the Quote Line form, click Download word template, and then select Quote Line Detail in the 1:N Relationship and select Quote in the N:1 Relationship.
In this case, we can insert the data of these three entities in a Word template.
Thank you, I suspected that is the problem. Great answer, really appreciate the clarification.
I tried the quote line detail but at that point I missed other tables associated to the quote.
