Another Process has updated the %Sometable% Table

Anybody have an idea why I keep getting this message?

xEMMisc is a custom table created in the SIVApplication database and in the corrasponding form I'm just trying to change the employee status from full time to part time. Initally it wouldn't let me because there were open time cards for that employee but the current pay period is closed and there are no open time cards yet it still won't let me update their status. While I could just go into the SIVApplication.xEMMisc table and change it myself via an Update statement I'd rather use the front end.

    Hi

    Check the Index of that user Table xEMMisc. If user try to insert the duplicate value in to that table then you will get this error.

    Thanks Santhosh,

    I figured out what it was. Many years ago I wrote an Insert/Update trigger on that table and if certain conditions are satisfied it does an update to it'self setting a user defined field. That trigger update was the "other process". Disabled the trigger and the update went through fine.
