Hi,
I have a particular Financial Dimension which I want to use in only 2/10 LEs.
Is there a way to achieve this without creating separate Account Structures? I thought it may be possible with Advanced Rules but the criteria to enforce the advanced rule structure looks to only consider FDs, whereas I would need it to consider the Legal Entity.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
James
You should be able to use Legal entity overrides on the Dimension values to dictate which dimensions are active/suspended for specific legal entities.
Legal Entity overrides is for suspending values not entire Dimensions though?
That wouldn't solve the issue as I want one account structure where the Dimension is mandatory for a range accounts in One Legal Entity but not in another.
Ahhh, sorry, I misunderstood. The easiest solution is probably separate Account structures. Maybe someone else will chime in with other ideas.
Hi James,
As mentioned by Frank, the best would be using two different account structures. One for the two companies and another one for the remaining eight. The advanced rules are linked to an account structure which is a design time not aware of a legal entity context.
