Hi all,
I'm hoping this is a simple one, but can not find a definitive answer anywhere I'm looking.
We have / had CRM 2016 on our server then ran some Windows updates and the version is now showing as 8.2 and the name is displaying as Dynamics 365. From what I've read this is just a name change and the product is technically CRM 2016 still... is this the case?
My concern and question is that our CRM service support guys are suggesting that we need to upgrade our licences now??!! I can not believe MS would release an update in the Windows update tool that would cause your whole CRM system to require new licensing! Completely changing versions and licence requirements....???
Humm... we did have the Windows 10 issue I guess! :P
Could someone please confirm if our licensing that is all good for 2016 is still valid after this 'name change 8.2' Windows update?
Regards,
James
