CRM Follow Button Missing on Home (View) But available on Form for certain roles

Hello,

I am having a strange issue where for a particular security role, the follow button will only appear on the form of a contact. When a user goes to access follow from a standard "Active Contacts" view, the follow button is not there. However, for other roles it appears in both just fine. I initially suspected permissions, but it makes no sense for it to be available on the form and not the view. Additionally, I suspected ribbon hiding, but again, some users can see the follow button just fine.

Also, in advanced find, the follow is greyed-out. Seems like a permissions issue, but it is usable on the form. I've even bumped follow and contact permissions to 100% global.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sorry for the additional posts, I thought I was editing, but I was actually created new posts.

However, I did find the solution. Read permissions are required on Post Configuration under the Custom Entities permissions tab. This is not a custom entity but something built in to CRM under the Custom Entities tab. Once this was applied, the specific role was able to use the "Follow" buttons from the view screen. I'm not exactly sure, the specifics on why it is needed, but that was the solution.
