Unknown Printer Error

I have been getting an unknown error when trying to print receipts.  I have deleted the printer and re-installed it and nothing. 

Any idea on what to try next?

    What knid of printer?

    Are you using an OPOS driver? That is highly recommended.

    What is your OS?

    What is the error? It just says unknown error when I try and print a receipt.

    What knid of printer? Star TSP 100

    Are you using an OPOS driver? Yes

    What is your OS? Windows XP

    So does it print or not?

    Make sure that your default printer is not a label printer

    Make sure that you have the exact printer name in the Register's Receipt 1/2 tab.

    Makes sure you have access to the path specified in SO Admin | File | Configuration | Paths | Receipt Templates

    I've seen issues with older versions of Star's OPOS driver, so make sure you have the latest (you can download it for free from their website).

    Another thought is to use the Windows driver.  We don't do OPOS, but we do Stars.  I think you cannot use the FutureRnt functions with OPOS.

    I am recently facing some errors like epson error code 0xf3 on my new Epson printer and I have tried a lot to solve the error by searching on the Internet for its fix, but it failed. Can anyone suggest me a better solution to fix these type of errors?

    I have a xerox printer and I have faced the same problem as you. I couldn't print the receipts. I got the solution from printersrepairnearme.com/.../ after searching many websites and contacted xerox printer repair in USA. Now my printer is working perfectly.
