Hello D365FO specialists,

I am reaching out to ask for your assistance in finding the most efficient solution for automatically importing and creating sales orders for multiple companies via OData - DMF data entities.

Here is the scenario, As of now, our environment have two companies, Company A and Company B. Currently, we have a integration with a third-party system that leverages the out-of-the-box "Sales Orders Composite V3" data entity, but it only caters to Company A. I am seeking your expertise to understand the possible options and steps required to extend this functionality to Company B as well.

Our import API runs with the following URL format: https://<base URL>/api/connector/enqueue/<activity ID>?entity=<entity name>

I would be grateful for your insights and guidance on this.

Thank you in advance!

Those external applications are reaching D365 using an application id / password.

In Azure Active Directory applications you create a mapping between a user and application. Default application in user, defines the default legal entity that reaches D365.

Hi, This is already done and working with one company but now how can we extend the same functionality to another company? We have to run same data entity and API for another company also so that sales order can be created.

In enqueue URL you can define company by using ?company=DAT if the users has proper permissions

We are using out of box data entity (Sales Orders Composite V3") so do we need to change "Primary Company Context" to null or it will work with the value "DataAreaId" as defined out of box ?
