Remove a Contact from a Segent

Can anyone tell me why I receive this error when I try to remove a contact from a segment?

Segmentation_RemoveMembersFailureSingular

    Is this a static segment? You can only remove members from a  static segment.

    When I stop the segment I can no longer view the members so how do I untick the contact?

    Have you tried removing them from the Segment screen, rather than form the contact one?

    Steps to follow:.

    Segments > choose your one > if it's live, click stop > Untick the chckbox of the contact you want removed > Save > Go live.

    So when I'm on a contact, I click 'remove from segment' at the top of the page.

    Then I select the desired segment I wish to remove them from.

    Click ok, then the message that I posted above appears.

    Was it a static segment in a stopped state? Did you try more than once?
