Any recommendations for the mobile use of CRM 2013 for external sales staff?

Hi all. Our external sales staff would like to start using Dynamics CRM 2013 much more mobile. Could anyone advise what's the best way to use CRM 2013 the mobile way?

- Does it work well on Smartphones?

- which Smartphone Apps are recommended? (found some really bad comments about "Dynamics CRM for phones", an App developped by MS)

- former versions of CRM 2013 caused lot's of double entries, when sales reps used it on a smartphone. Does anyone know about this and might this be better with 2013?

- Would the use of a tablet be more recommended?

Thanks in advance for your help and best regards

Roland

Just a little bit of context here:

Dynamics CRM 2013 can be accessed through one of the following:

    1. Dynamics CRM for Phones (latest app)

    2. Dynamics CRM for Tablets (Tablet version)

    3. Dynamics CRM for Mobile Express (for phones which do not support the above)

Does it work well on smartphones? Which Smartphone Apps are recommended?

Well, that really is dependant on your phone's hardware.
But MS suggests that option 1 / 2 (depending on your device) is the best way to go.

Option 1 & 2 leverage the system forms, so that the UI remains the same.
In addition, Option 1 (Dynamics CRM for Phones) can hide/show form components such as tabs, sections etc which is not possible in 'Dynamics CRM for Tablets'.

In addition, you can make certain entities read-only in the Dynamics CRM for Phones / Dynamic CRM for Tablets by a configuration setting on the Entity.

Personally, I suggest the Dynamics CRM for phones, as it is the official one and improving over the past versions.
I am using it on my phone and find it performing quite well. But I use a 5.7 inch phone. So more screen space converts to better navigation!

Other alternatives would be develop your own mobile apps / use 3rd party mobile apps such as RESCO.
Both involve a lot of work and is quite frustrating.
And with PowerApps coming into the picture, I doubt anyone will want to go that route.

So, Dynamics CRM for Phones is the way to go!!
