How to set the menu of the report which is configured through Electronic reporting

ReportReport

Hi Experts,

Do we have an option where we can configure the menu items of the report which you prepare on an electronic reporting tool?

Initially, I thought we can just generate the report via print management or Run the report from the electronic reporting screen. but after reviewing the Fixed asset roll forward report, I believe Microsoft has opened an option to set the menu option for the report.

Any lead on the above query will be appreciable.

Regards,

Zeeshan

    Hi Zeeshan,

The Fixed assets roll forward report uses the Electronic reporting (ER) framework. After you imported the ER "Fixed asset roll forward" config and/or derived your custom format, please go to D365FinOps and click on 'Fixed Assets' module > Inquires and reports > Transaction reports > Fixed asset roll forward. From here you will be able to select your desire "Fixed asset roll forward" format and to generate the report:

Also, please find the documentation below for further references:
    docs.microsoft.com/.../Fixed-asset-roll-forward-report

Please let me know if this helps or if you need any other information, and we will be more than glad to assist further. Also, kindly mark as verified if the answer is helpful.

    With kind thoughts,
    Laura

    Thanks for your response Laura.

I have created the separate report in ER and would like to set the menu item just like FA roll forward report. I would to understand is there any option where I can configure the menu item for my report or I have create the menu item via visual studio?

Indeed, for that you will need to create the menu item in Visual Studio as well.
