Is there a way to export a list of duplicate contacts to excel?
I've run the duplicate detect but it only shows 12 records per page and doesn't seem to show a total or have a way to view the list as a whole.
Is there a way this could be done? We know we have a few duplicates across departments and want to pull the list to give to a user to review more easily than in the duplicate detect.

Unfortunately there isn't a simple way of running this report straight out of CRM.
Are you familiar with XRMToolBox? http://www.xrmtoolbox.com/
There is a Plugin you can download called 'Duplicate Detection Report for Bulk Merge' I think that might do the trick for you.

Can you think of a way to view directly in CRM in a list like format? When I try to export it gets hung, even when the list is narrowed down to under 5,000.
You could just export all of your contacts to an excel sheet. Then in excel go to Conditional Formatting > Highlight cell rules > Duplicate Values. Then you can find all the duplicates.
