What out-of-box options exist for sending mass emails using campaigns or quick campaigns in the new Customer Engagement Plan Dynamics 365?

We are a brand new customer using Customer Engagement Plan - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/pricing , Dynamics 365 version 9.x. Is it possible to send mass emails using out of box functionality? If yes, what is the maximum list size per send? Or do we need to purchase Dynamics 365 Marketing/click dimensions/mail chimp, etc. Also, why are we not able to add both leads and contacts to a single marketing list?

Hi,

You can send emails using your campaign activity and there is a recipient rate limit for Exchange Online is 1500 recipients per day. Check here for more details: [View:https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff381292%28v=exchsrvcs.149%29.aspx:750:50]

But you need to use some marketing tools if you are looking for broad set of features.

You can only create marketing list for one member type, this is default CRM behaviour.
