Wen i try to update all companies they are not getting update as they are showing lock symbol and cannot update hpow can i update my companies in a data base .successfully.

a sql lock has been placed on the dbs. This is not the Dynamics Locks table but actually SQL. Look into the locks and attempt to release all of them. You may want to reboot the server. If this does not work, search the web (not this forum as this is for GP and your problem is MS-SQL) for unlocking a database. I ran into this about 4 years back but have not seen it recently.
