Delivery date control NONE taking sales leadtime

How can I setup AX2012 in a way that the system will NOT take the leadtime of the item into account. I thought it was delivery date control NONE. But this setup still takes the sales leadtime that has been set up in the site specific or default order settings. When creating a sales order line with delivery date control set to NONE, the number of days in the sales lead time field is added to todays date and gives a requested ship date in the future. So there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between delivery date control "none" and "Sales lead time" ?

I would like NO delivery date control done whatsoever.

    Hi Edna,

Delivery Date control can be configured from A/R parameters which is applicable to all items and this can be override on the item's default order and site specific settings. Please make sure that you have selected "None" is A/R parameters in delivery date control field and on item default and site specific settings you have not override it.

Once this is done, you will not see simulated delivery dates in delivery date schedule in sales order.

    Regards,
    Ash

Hi Ash, thanks for your replu, but I did setup the Delivery Date control on the A/R parameters to "None". So all setup is correct. In the parameters, in the site specific parameters, in the default order settings. All are set to have NONE delievery Date control. So on the sales order header it states "None` delivery date control, as it is on the sales order line. BUT STILL the system suggests the requested ship date of today + sales lead time of the item. And I do not want the lead time to be taken into account.

Why would you have a sales lead time and NOT use it? The system will use the lead time if it is populated, so if you dont want the lead time then set it to 0.

Hi Steven, I understand you view. But this is not an answer to the question. For me it is not clear what and if there is a difference between the delivery date control setting "None" and "Sales lead time".

I could think of examples where the leadtime is set up on a more general level, and on more detailed level I want to ignore the leadtime. Suppose I set up a leadtime in for example the trade agreement, and I override the delivery date control for just 1 warehouse.

My response was not an answer in reality it was a question.

As an answer to this question: difference between the delivery date control setting "None" and "Sales lead time"

None will, as standard, ignore the sales lead time defined in the default order or site specific settings. I have just configured this to verify this happens, I had 17 days set as the lead time, delivery date control set to none and the delivery date on the sales order line is today. "Sales lead time" uses the sales lead time.

If your system is defaulting the sales lead time onto the sales line with the delivery tab of the line showing the delivery date control as None then there is an issue. In mine I can change the None to Sales Lead time and the available ship and receipt dates prompt comes up warning me the date is prior to the expected date we could make this committment.

    Any customisations in the area?

Thanks Steven, I expected the functionality as you described. We did do some small modifications in the sales order. I will check this. Thanks a lot !

pfffff stupid, found where my mind took the wrong exit. I was expecting that when Iset Delivery date control to "none" that lead times were ignored at line creation. But it is the check against the leadtime that is not done when changing the date to today again. Learned something today, but did feel a bit stupid Steven :-)

Not stupid at all, and glad you found it!
