Custom fields in msdyn_projecttask

Hi,

We've created a custom field, which is showing on the task details form (see below)

But when I use the API to fetch the msdyn_projecttask data from /api/data/v9.1/msdyn_projecttasks(task-uuid) the custom field doesn't show there.

Can anyone point me to where I might be able to find it?

which type is the custom field you created?

It appears in the "Columns" list using my tool Dataverse REST Builder? (link in the signature)

    Hi, thanks for responding.

The field was added to the project task list just by clicking the "add column" button in the GRID view in MS PROJECT ON THE WEB

Unfortunately I'm not sure what to do with your tool.

you open my tool, create a request like "Retrieve Single" or "Retrieve Multiple" and select the msdyn_projecttask table, and check if in the Columns dropdown appears the new field you created.

Perhaps I've not got your tool set up properly

I've just downloaded the code (zip) and opened index.html in my browser

It's in demo mode - so "msdyn_projecttasks" doesn't appear to be matched.

How do I configure it to point to my crm tenant?

    Thanks!

you can find it inside XrmToolBox (from the Tool Library) or if you download the managed solution (from the Releases) you can install it as managed solution and open it from your instance.

There is an instruction video linked, if you go directly to minute 13:30 you can see how it can be installed.

Hmm, XmlToolBox crashes when I connect to the tool.

Have you experienced this before?  Or am I just special?

thanks for the screenshot, I will look into it.

You can try with the managed solution but if you prefer to don't install it I undestand.

Eventually you can check the columns of that table inside the solution explorer (if you user the Maker Portal, you go to https://make.powerapps.com/ , Solutions on the left menu, select the "Default Solution", on the left open "Tables", from the list select the one you want to explore, and you will see the list of columns)

if you can post a screenshot of the field (hide the sensitive information) would be helpful, if you don't see the field there meaning that has been created under another table

    hope it helps
