Debug Info message

Hi guys,
I am in the situation that i feel i lose a lot of time debugging the info messages shown on the top of the D365 web, since there i can not find the way to go directly to the line that throw the message. In VS 2019, the message is shown in the Output window, but doesn't show the line.

In Dynamics AX 2012, I could click on the info message window to show the code line since it was the same app.

Is there any workaround? Cause i think this is really a stepback, even more when you have to debug code that is possible not yours.

Thanks,
Eisenberk.

I think you're looking at the Infolog window in VS, which indeed contains just the messages. And the call stack isn't added to infolog.

The usual workaround is putting a breakpoint to Info.add() method, which is called when a message is being added to infolog.

If you're actually interested in exceptions and not mere infolog messages, you have quite a few more options.

    Hi @Martin Dráb,

I hadn't thought of debugging the system info class. I see that It is also an option for debugging some exceptions.

    Thanks!,
    Eisenberk.
