Hi,

I’m working in the travel and expenses module and I want that after I choose the project that the customer account will be shown systematically? any ideas?

I want that the project manager decides whether the expense is billable to the client or not from the rich client, and the employee cannot change the line property? how can I did that?

thank you,

Best regards,

    Hi Ameni,

Why do you want to show the customer account? Do you want to display it only or allow users to even modify it?

Regarding the ability to specify billable project transactions, isn't this something that should be specified more generically at the project or project contract level? Do you want your PMs allowing on an individual line basis what is chargeable and what not? I am familiar with setups that define this at the project level. If a PM does not want to bill the customer specific transactions then he adjusts them later on.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I just want to show the customer account. I don’t want to allow users to modify It.

I create a project and When I assign categories of expenses I don’t know when I change the line proprieties of an expense, I want to set up this property at the project level, after that when the employee creates an expense report, the line property will show up without allow him to modify it, how can I do that ?

    thank you,

    Best regards,

    Hi Ameni,

As you are working with AX2012 you must enter your expense reports in the Enterprise Portal.

I do not think that you can realize what you describe without making a system modification because of the customization limitations that you have in the Enterprise Portal.

In addition, there is a second technical issue that needs to be resolved. This issue is related to the possibility to assign more than a single funding source (e.g. customer) to a project. Provided that you have this possibility, AX might not know which customer account to show.

Therfore, I would suggest that you talk with a developer and discuss this issue in more detail and whether this modification is really needed.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
