SSL/443 - Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls

After bringing up a new installation of CRM 2011, RU 12, and changing to SSL/port 443, we get the message "Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls" when navigating to CRM. It did not happen when we running under SSL/port 5555 - same installation.

We are using IE 9

In the "trusted sites" (also tried "local internet") we:

Always set

 - Miscelaneous - Access data sources across domains = Enabled

 - Miscelaneous - Display mixed content = Enabled

 - Miscelaneous - Navigate windows and frames across different domains = Enabled

 - Scripting - Active scripting = Enable

Additionally tried (but reset)

 - Allow Scriptlets = Enable (from disable)

 - Download signed ActiveX controls = Enable (from prompt)

Any ideas where to look next?

If you want only one page to be allowed to run Scripts and ActiveX Controls, open IE and click Tools< Internet Options< Security Tab. Highlight the Trusted Sites icon and click on the Sites button.

Where it says add a website to this zone, type the path where your local html file is located and hit the add button. Uncheck the require server verification checkbox. Click the Close button when done. Make sure the Trusted Sites zone has Protected Mode Disabled and set the Security Level for the Trusted Sites zone to low.

Onload and onsave scripts work just fine. The problem statement I originally posted is the problem I am trying to solve.

Did you try to activate content by going to Internet Options? In Internet Options Advanced Tab Click on "Allow active content to run in files on my Computer" and after selecting the option restart the PC and try to open the page then. Did you try this to resolve the problem?

Do you have another org where you do not have on load and on save scripts, can you check if you are facing the same issue for that org.  I understand that On load and on save scripts are working but that can still cause this issue with IE.

    Thanks,

    Mohammad

RE: SSL/443 - Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls

In the end, there was some sort of issue with the client's SSL certificate. I was not able to gather all the details, nor can I say that makes complete sense to me. However, the issue has 'gone away'.
