Permission to delete Posts in Social Pane not working

Posted on by 350

Hi, I found a weird behavior with Social Pane. I removed the Delete Permission in security roles for Activity and Post Entities, however users are able to delete Automatic or Personal Posts in Social Pane. They should not able to do that. Any idea would be much appreciated.

For reference of anyone following this post, I ended not using Social Pane and:

    * Including an Activities sub grid

    * Creating a custom entity to manage Notes and Attachments

    * Creating a custom entity to manage the logs generated with some events (something like posts)

Than way everything works as expected regarding permissions.

Zohaib, thanks for your answer but it does not make sense for me. The security role is configured to totally revoke the delete permission on the Post Entity and I am sure users are not members of another security group. How the Social Panel is able to bypass the security role? Sorry if I am missing some basic concept here.

    Xavier.

AFAIK, this is the Out of box behaviour.
