Emails exceeding the size limit are not tracked and create error message

When I send a mail through Outlook and the attachment exceeds the size limit, it does not get tracked in CRM and there is an error message prompting in Outlook saying there is a problem syncing Outlook.Item. Is there a way to disable that error message and if possible also track that email?

Have you increased the maximum attachment size in system settings to the maximum?

No, because that would only allow larger attachment, it wouldn't actually solve the problem.

As far as I know there is no way to turn off his behaviour but you could increase the size and then delete oversized attachments retrospectively - see blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../deleting-email-attachments-in-dynamics-crm-2016
