Hi All,

I followed the steps mentioned in the below documentation to enable the Motes Document storage to Azure instead of CRM.

docs.microsoft.com/.../enable-azure-storage

There is step which say ''Add a web resource", I completed that and the web resource appears to be working in  CRM but on portals, I am getting page not found error for the web resource

Appreciate any assistance on this

    Hi Ravi,

this webresource is only intended for CRM users.
For portal user you have to configure the entity forms and web forms with the OOB features to use Azure Storage or develop your own one.

    Regards,
    Ben

    Hi Justin,

If I am not wrong, this will enable the Attachment on the entity form. I am looking for this on the notes entity i.e. notes attachment uploaded to Azure storage

    Hi Ravi Kashyap,

Bit confused.  are you using note as metadata in the Entity form? or a different approach?

Same option is available for notes as well ( Note in the entity form meta data).

    File Attachment Location

Select the location of the file attachment:

    • Note Attachment
    • Azure Blob Storage

    Thanks

Just one question, do we nee to use different form for CRM and portals. As pper the steps, it says update the form, remove the notes control and add the web resource. If I do that then no point of adding the metadata as I have removed the notes control from the form.

    Hi,

I followed the above instructions i.e. added the web resource only in CRM and changed the storage location to Azure.

With this, the notes panel is available and allowing me to add the note/ attachment however it is throwing the generic error.

The strange thing is that it is actually uploading the attachment to Azure and if I refresh the page in portal I can see the note added along with the attachment uploaded to Azure.

Within CRM [On the form where I have added the web resource], the notes are visible but the file name is changed to included Azure. I was expecting that the icon will also be updated to cloud and will display the thumnail in CRM [As per the documentation].

When I click on the attachment, txt file is downloaded with the below content. The URL parameter is blank.

    Notes_2D00_CRM1.png

I am guessing the error on the portal and then in crm file is not opening is due to this blank url.

    Please suggest.
