MS CRM 2011 Cannot open Exported Excel file

Hi,

We are facing issue while opening the excel file exported through MS CRM 2011 advanced find data. After we export the data in excel and when we open the file excel is not opening the file. There is no error. The excel application is opened but the file is never opened after multiple attempts. I can see the excel file size which indicates there is data in the excel. But I don't know why it is not opening. This issue is only from the users machine. In my personal laptop I can open the same excel.

These are the security updates installed on user machine one week back. Is this having any impact on the issue.

    Hi Jayakumar ,

    This security update (MS16-088) resolves vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office. The most severe of the vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Microsoft Office file. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerabilities could run arbitrary code in the context of the current user. Customers whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.

    dont think so this update cause an issue .

    while opening the exported excel file make sure  users are clicking on Yes button while the popup comes up.

    Thanks Abarao Bhople for the response. Users are not prompted with this dialog. The excel application is alone opened without any action.
