"Lot Number is required for Item XXX"

Hello everyone,

I am getting this error when trying to post a sales order with an item containing an item tracking line.

When I go and check the item tracking lines I see that the lot number has been assigned.

Any idea?

Is it a drop ship/special/ production order associated with this sales order ?

    Hi Suresh,

I don´t think so. What would be the problem in that case?

Is there anything else that I could look for?

In CU5 they provided fix for the similar error but it is related to manufacturing

363503 "Lot Number is required for Item X" error message when you post a consumption journal with available stock and item tracking defined.

Do you have multiple items on that order ? may be same item is on other line ?

Just one item and a resource:

Why there is a quantity 20 here and 60 in the first screenshot ? in your screenshot it looks like it is reserved can you check reservations and see if those entries have Lot No. or if it is a test database delete the reservation and try.

As Suresh mentioned I think it was due to quantity mismatch in the item tracking lines and your sales order quantity.

    Hi Tharanga,

It's possible, but in that case I don't know what caused the mismatch. Reservations are setup to be automatic. Shouldn't it always match?

Hi,   ...could you confirm if the fix 363503 that you mentioned before is available for NAV 2013?

i've looked for it but i couldn't find it
