Hi,
I want to hide setup settings from every user's login. I've no idea which security rule I've to create. Can anyone guide me?
my second question is related to removing restricting users not to edit customer/vendor.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Irshad
thank you Mr. Andre Arnaud de Calavon
Hi Irshad,
You need to think the other way around. Security in AX 2012 is not about hiding menu items, but providing permissions via privileges, duties and security roles.
You need to find out which duties and privileges grant access to certain menu items and which what access level. Then you can remove the menu items from privileges, remove privileges from duties or create new specific duties and privileges for your security requirements.
One of the tools which can be helpful is the security development tool.
What do you mean by setup settings?
You need to create a custom security role which holds all your required menu items and you can set the perimission property for each of them.
Thanks,
Girish S.
