Hi All,

New Custom Model Objects are not getting extension creation option in existing Custom Model.

I checked Models Layer, both are in VAR layer, in referenced packages, model is selected.

Pl. advice.

Thx in advance.

    Hi TU1506,

Can you elaborate on your question? I'm not able to understand what you mean with "not getting extension creation option".

    Hi,

I think you are missing model reference. Also, why you want to create extension for custom model. Create extension will be only visible when your model is referring to object that you want to create extension. One more thing which AOT object you want to create extension for?

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

I assume you have not added this new custom model as referenced model for the old custom model. Can you check the update model references and update the new custom model as a referenced one for this old one?

    Hi Andre,

I am talking about Create Extension option in Visual Studio.

    Hi Girish,

    Thx for reply..

In Update Model Parameter, when i select New Model, I can see Old Model as selected in reference package list.

There is one class, created in New Custom model, same i want to extend in OLD Custom Model & make changes in that.

    Hi Bharani,

    Thx for reply!!!

If i understood correctly, we always select OLD Model as a reference for New Model. if that is the case it is already selected.

Create extension option won't be available for the classes - You need to either write COC for the class or use inheritance concept to extend the method.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

Hi, You missed attaching the screenshot. Also, check if Create Extension is available in Table or Form level instead of class.
