"Open in Excel" action on Journal pages in Business central web client.

I know there is a limitation on web client that we do not get "Open in Excel" action button on worksheet type pages.

On cloud version, we will have the "edit in Excel" button, but when it comes on-premises version there is no option on the journal page for user to export the journal lines.

Is there a way that we can add this button using page extension without writing code for export to excel(like using excel buffer)?

I think Microsoft may add this button on journal pages because the Cloud version is not available most of the countries/regions that they can give the web client access by installing on-prem on the azure cloud.

The Excel add-in for using Edit in Excel is also available for on-premises installs, but it does require some setup. Documentation on how to get it set up is posted here: docs.microsoft.com/.../configuring-excel-addin.
