Dependent drop down list- fields don`t show up in Sharepoint list

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I have a problem with dependent drop down list i PowerApps which I really hope someone can help me with. I have used this: Create a dependent drop-down list in a canvas app - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

I have created a Sharepoint list with the fields I want the user to fill out in the app, and a separate list for the locations and categories that are going to be dependent on these locations. I have done all the steps at the link above and connected both of the lists as data input in the app.

When I try to submit a new item in the app, it works fine and I can choose categories based on location.

When I then go to the Sharepoint-list with the data-fields, the fields with location and category is not showing up on the item I created.

Here is the Sharepoint-list with the locations and categories, which is linked to the fields in the form in PowerApps:

Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Thank you!

Edit: When I try to make a new item directly from the Sharepoint-list, it's like the locations are there, but I can't see them:

When I pick one of them (even though if I can't see them), the correct categories show up:

But the fields are still empty in the Sharepoint-list when I click save:
