Hi,

Is there a way I can copy the format of full name in contact? I know I can add fields but I want the format to be the same in contacts. When the user clicks the full name there will be a small dialog box that contains the first name and last name

Not sure I am 100% clear of what you are looking for, but it seems that you want to have a Full Name field in the Account record, that when clicked on will pop-up the First and Last Name fields so that you can enter them there.

    Is that correct?

If so, then the answer is no (at least not out of the box).

You can probably add a Full Name your own custom logic that will open a small popup with First and Last Name fields.

This will require the use of JavaScript on the Account form, and adding a Web Resource to display First/Last Name.

    Hope this helps.

Simply what you looking is custom composite field. Unfortunately it's is available only for account and contact .you can't create custom composite field. Rather you can create a html web resource and call it on the field changes.

For more information about composite field pls refer below.

    Hi Jane,

    do as follows:

    1) add a Firstname attribute

    2) add a Lastname attribute

    3) add a Fullname attribute (disable it in form)

    3) create a workflow starting on create + update (select firstname and lastname attributes)

    4) in workflow body add: Update Record (Account): Set Fullname = Firstname + "space" + Lastname

Please let me know if you solve.
