Data Management Error when upgrading to 10.0.30

Hello,

i have the following D365 FO version:

i did update to the following version:

the update completed successfully using the following steps:

  1. .\AXUpdateInstaller.exe generate -runbookid="OneBoxDev" -topologyfile="DefaultTopologyData.xml" -servicemodelfile="DefaultServiceModelData.xml" -runbookfile="OneBoxDev-runbook.xml"
  2. .\AXUpdateInstaller.exe import -runbookfile="OneBoxDev-runbook.xml"
  3. AXUpdateInstaller.exe list
  4. AXUpdateInstaller.exe execute -runbookid=OneBoxDev

however i am receiving the following error when i am trying to export any data entity:

System.ServiceModel.FaultException: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.

any idea?

which version can i update to, without any data management error. (even less than 30).

Note: Data management was working fine on version 10.0.17.

    Hi David, 

    This is obviously is an issue with the current update you are on. I would advice you apply the 10.0.1362.114 quality update and retry.

    do you know if this update (.114) doesn't have this issue?

    can i upgrade from 10.0.17 to 10.0.30 (10.0.1352.114)?

    Are you trying this on other than DEV. If no, best to redeploy the DEV box.

    i am trying on my local VM.

    my question is: if i can upgrade from 10.0.17 to 10.0.30 with latest quality update (10.0.1352.114) to fix the issue of data management?

    if not, which version newer than 10.0.17 and has no issue with data management?

    I just tried exporting on my environment which is on 10.0.1362.77. It went fine.

    I do believe so as here is what I found when I did check issue resolved in the quality update.

    the latest one is LCS is 10.0.1362.99

    Hello Komi,

    i did click on save packages and it says successfully saved to asset library however it didn't reflect in the software downloadable packages tab.

    any idea?

    Hi David,

    In my experience updating from 10.0.17 to the most recent platform straight away, I got blocked by an error. It's better to deploy the most recent OneBox VM if you do it from LCS, otherwise, I suggest you update incrementally by 3 increments 10.0.17>10.0.20>10.0.23, and so on. That way worked for me.
