BP4.0 error when launching lists but not queries??

I'm logged into BP as the administrator/owner.

When I launch existing queries or create new queries - I have no problems retrieving data.

However, when I try to activate a 'list' (doesn't matter what series) I get an error (nothing specific just see admoinistrator and check log).

First - where's the log I can check?

Second - any thoughts on why this might occur? I don't think it's permissions related - why would queries work?

    Hi Bron,

     Have you deployed Web Services for Dynamics GP and setup the permissions correctly for the Web Services? Typically this is why the lists don't work but the queries would still work (since they don't use web services).

    You should check the event viewer on the BP (Sharepoint) server for any errors.

    GP web services has been deployed.

    I have not done anything with permissions to GP web services.

    I assumed since I am using the same windows id that was used for installation and connection to SQL that I would not have to touch GP web services for permissions.

    So I should lauch GP security console and add my userid to power user? Or something like that??

    Yes.  I would try using the GP security console to specifically grant that users power users rights (as well as salesperson rights if you're trying to access information in the "By Salesperson/Territory" area).
