Consolidate two pick work types for the same item in the same location

Hi,

When i process a wave with two shipments (each one has a line with the same product id). After processing the wave, when work is created i got something like this:

Item nº 1 - Pick - Location1 - 10ea

Item nº1 - Pick - Location1 - 5ea

- Put - Baydoor - 15

My intention is that AX creates a picking work consolidated when the same item code needs to be picked from the same location despite it is requiered from two different orders.

So, if i have an order of 10ea and another one of 5ea and i process both shipments in the same wave. What i need is that AX generates one picking work for 15ea in "Location1" is created instead of two (one to pick 10 and the other to pick 5).

The item has an item model group with the "Consolidated picking method" check box checked and the warehouse has the "Consolidate shipment at release to warehouse" checked.

Do you have any idea of what am i missing?

as far as I know, you should use cluster picking functionality. Then AX will send you just once to a single location. I am not familiar with that functionality and cannot give you details

Thanks for your answer!

I will analyze cluster picking functionality closer. However as far as i know, that feature allow you to pick ítems, separate them according to the sales order that they were ordered from and put them on a specific bin.

My intention is to pick the whole quantity (consolidated) of an ítem (doesn´t matter which SO has ordered it), put that quantity in a packing location and at that time pack ítems according to where they need to be shipped to.

hello,

i don't think this is possible. If you check your Work creation history log, you'll see that AX creates work by shipment and by load. Which means it creates at least 1 work line for each shipment

Hi Nick, did you get the solution for your question? I need to pick based on the license plate (LP is per box) and put it to STAGE location for shipment.
