AX 4.0 Favourites missing in original window when selecting new workspace

When creating a new workspace (Windows menu -> Open New Workspace), the favorites/shortcuts disappear from the primary window and only appear in the new workspace.
There are several workarounds for the primary window, like selecting your favorite group again or dragging a menu item into favorites and then it will populate again.
But this certainly is not the most desirable.
