NAV 2013 R2 crashes abruptly on different screens

Posted on by 267

Client is using NAV 2013 R2 and Windows 11. NAV crashes on different screens. We have uninstalled and re-installed NAV on the user machine but still getting error.

It is working perfectly fine for the rest of the users who have windows 11OS.

Does anyone know if NAV 2013 R2 is compatible with Windows 11?

    Hi all,

Thank you for all your responses. We have find the issue. It was related to a third party extension and the Logs were pointing towards that. We uninstalled the NAV and reinstalled with all extensions and it started working. So far the issue is not reported again.

    Thanks to everyone who responded.

    Hi,

Please check if there is a no customization done, while opening that page, also check your Event viewer there might be some more information about this error.

Have you introduced some new custom code lately?

This is the error message the user is getting.

The user can open the NAV but when he/she navigates to something, it crashes and gives this screen.

Are you getting any kind of error messages either on the client or the server machine when the system is crashing?

    Hi Zhu,

    Thank you for the response.

Yes most of the users are on Win 11 OS and its working for them. We are doing some other testing as well, lets see how things turn out.

Hi, Just adding some info, hopefully it gives you some hints.

NAV2013 R2 is completely end of support, so I don't think Microsoft has fully tested it on Windows 11 either.

But I have seen some partners running Nav2013 and Nav2009 on Windows 11, so I think it should be fine.

When NAV crashes, you can go to the Event Viewer to see the specific error message

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
